I rate this 4 5 stars, but for less than $ 1k, this is worth 5 stars. KDS55A2000 I have a Sony rear projection TV. I think the colors are a bit 'better in Sony, but the blacks, by contrast, shadow detail is better than the Panasonic. The Panasonic is also less than half of what it cost of Sony, three years ago. And move more easily, because it is a flat screen and not too heavy (or energy) that shaped the previous year. In very rare cases, I note, not the tendency of some 'green, but not enough to disturb me. I think this can be corrected with calibration. The audio is adequate for a TV (like Sony). If you want a good sound quality, then you must use a receiver and external speakers. Advertising is a powerful and I wish there was an adjustment to make. Series S1 has notmany options for picture adjustments in the user menu – not so numerous as those of Sony – but it is sufficient for most users. In general, the picture quality is very good. A decent wage. Upconverted SD-DVD is very good. Television is a great value. I checked the 720p X1, but you can see a difference in brightness and PQ in the store. I tinker with the settings so that I and my wife and I have agreed that the S1 was much better, and the value of the dollar. Course can not be home. Plasmas do not look as good in the shops – in vivid fluorescent light, next to the LCD screen too bright – but, believe me, it's better at home than any LCD. The G-10 seems to offer so real and THX THX certification, and some online functionality. THX is too dark, without calibration. For smooth playback of 24 fps (without blinking), you must go to V10, the considerably more expensive. All have the same group, and most people are very happy to be happy with the S1. Of course, the V10 is better, but if money is important, go with the S1. You will not get a better price for the TV. The menu can be slow – adjustment or manual adjustment of programs – but it's caveats. You can find forums on-line advice on the best settings – including advice on setting up the service menu, if you're adventurous.
